If you are looking to have an av painted, the trick is finding a site that the users are painting on, AND are also connecting on through the same server.  The links above have a large collection of painted avs, but many may be doing the actual painting while connected to a different server than you.  Ask other users who are chatting through the same program you are and you may find some painters.  Also, if you are connected through the old VP chat program, do a locate for painter, or av ... (Excite superchat does not support anything but an exact match on a users name).
