Helping Users Tip 1: Right Click and open the start button. Right drag
the Programs folder to desktop and choose the option to Create Short Cut
(This will give them a Program Manager they are familiar with)
Helping Users Tip 2: create a shortcut to c:\windows\winfile.exe (the old
file manager) but remember deleting files from here will NOT send them
to the recycle bin AND move a file with this and it will lose it's long
file name.
Never delete the following fonts Marlett, Courier, Times
New Roman, Arial (all versions), Times New Roman, System, or Symbol - various
programs (Including Windows itself) use these for display. Tahoma if you
use Office 97
To Shut down / Close all the windows (down to the Parent Window where you
started) - Hold the Shift key while you click the close button.
Create a short cut to the floppy drive (and any frequently accessed drives
/ directories) on the desktop
You can move and copy short cuts quickly from Exployer (the *.lnk files)
– consider the "c:\windows\desktop" and the "c:\windows\send to" folders
(directories) as a good place to start looking. Remember: Holding
down the Ctrl key still forces something to copy and holding down the Shift
key still forces something to be moved.

Too many open windows – right click an open space on the task bar and choose
the minimize all options, Remember: you can resize the task bar
to show more of the icon buttons by streching its width like a window.
(You can also move the task bar to any edge of the screen by clicking on
an open area and dragging it.
You can quickly start Explorer by right clicking the upper left icon of
an open folder and choosing Explore
If you have access to the Microsoft TweakUI program - INSTALL IT.
This program allows you to adjust everything from how fast your menus pop
up, to displaying a DOS start up menu when you turn the computer on. The
program is free (If you have access to the internet, you can download if
from www.microsoft.com.) Look for links to their downloads, support, and
upgrades. *** note: that this is not a supported add-on, and
Microsoft does NOT SUPPORT it, they only offer it "as is".
